When did Hope In Jesus Ministries start?

Hope In Jesus Ministries (HIJM) was founded on the 17th October 2007 by Jason Sutherland and Dr. Michelé Sutherland. This beautiful ministry all started in a small Care Group where 4 people met and wanted to know more about God and His Son Jesus Christ. After reading, sharing and studying the Word of God,  together they decided to “Go forth and preach the gospel.” standing on the Scripture (Isaiah 61:1-5). The Ministry was built on weekly feeding schemes and reaching out to the lost and helpless. To those who did not have jobs and therefore battling to even live day by day. HIJM was built on this foundation of love and care. It attracted people who have a passion for people and hence the Ministry birthed becoming a Church. –  affectionately called The Bush Church.

What does HIJM do?

HIJM continues to perform DAILY Feeding schemes in the South of Johannesburg, further, the people of HIJM have caught the fire and passion of Pastor Michelé and Jason Sutherland for the hopeless and homeless, and perform weekly feeding schemes every Saturday as a “Church”.
